Steve Bould

Steven Bould began his career at Stoke City, being a team mate of Lee Dixon, making 183 appearances from 1980 to 1988. Bould was reunited with Dixon in 1988 after Arsenal signed the 6' 4" feet centre-back. Along with the infamous Arsenal defence of the late 80’s and early 90’s he lead Arsenal to two doubles in the 1988-89 and 1990-91 seasons. Despite being regularly being left on the bench by Wenger in favour of Martin Keown, Bould was part of the squad of Arsenal’s double winning squad in the 1997-98 season.  In total Bould made 288 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 5 goals, in 11 seasons at Arsenal. Bould only made two appearances for the England national team.

Nigel Winterburn

English left-back Winterburn began his career at Oxford City and later moved to Wimbledon helping them reach the first division in 1986. Winterburn was signed by George Graham in the summer of 1987 for £0.35M. Winterburn took time to settle at Arsenal, initially being played at right back despite being left footed. Winterburn settled into the Arsenal team and was part of their famous defence which helped arsenal only lose one game in the 1990-91 season. He was part of the Arsenal defence that prevented any goals being conceded by Parma in the 1994 Cup Winner’s Cup final, despite Parma having a number of high quality strikers including Gianfranco Zola. Winterburn made 429 League appearances for Arsenal, scoring 8 goals.
