West Ham 1-0 Arsenal
FA Cup final 1980
The Hammers did not have a touch of the ball until they were given a free kick when Liam Brady was given off side with four minutes gone. Trevor Brooking netted in a goal mid way through the first half, a rare headed goal to put the lower league team in front 1-0. Phil Parkes was in great form in goal for West Ham as he stopped two decent opportunities from Graham Rix. With only moments remaining the pressure put on by West Ham looked much more threatening than Arsenal’s continuous pressure. Paul Allen had a great opportunity with only minutes left however he squandered a great chance.
