Bob Wilson

Legendary goalkeeper Bob Wilson began his career in 1963 as an amateur at Arsenal. He broke into the Arsenal first team in 1968. He helped Arsenal win a league and cup double in the 1970-71 season. Wilson remained Arsenal’s first choice keeper till, what is considered by many to be, an early retirement in 1974. Wilson will be remembered for playing without the use of goalkeeping gloves. Wilson later became a goalkeeping coach for Arsenal.
